If you don't know for sure one parent was a wolf, it is probably not that likely your dog really IS part wolf. Wolves are only fertile part of the year (a few months) so it is not common to see a pure wolf. dog cross. A shar pei is enough smaller than a wolf that it would be hard to breed the two anyway. Depending on what time of the year your dog was born, you can rule out a wolf parent.
It is very hard to say how big your dog may get, or what his temperament would be like. Shar pei can be aggressive and protective dogs though, and I would not want to see that kind of breed crossed with a wolf as it could make pups that would be hard for many people to deal with.
