Most states require you to have a license to own a pure wolf. Texas (My state) requires you to have one if your Wolfdog is 96% or over. I don't trust most of the breeders claiming to have "pure Wolves". Mainly because they don't look like wolves. The pups they claim as 98%-99% wolves they sell up to $5000 depending on what breeds of wolf. I bought a 94% male for $350 at 5 months old. I sold my 73% pups between $50-$175 (depending on the person). I wasn't looking for a profit though. I did not pay for the pups, I just wanted money back for food. Other people will charge up to $1000 for Low Contents, which are 1%-60% wolf. Before spending a lot of money on what they claim as a "pure wolf," or anything else, do research. Look over the wolf thoroughly. Make sure it actually does look like a wolf. The ones I said sell 98%-99% look like Huskies, not wolves and there is a BIG difference between the two. Wolves do not have definite masks, especially when they're puppies.
