I have 2 4year old male northern inuits, one of them has taken to escaping over the fence, either to chase cats or play with kids football in the street. the other one barks his head off until he comes back. Any ideas, we have 6 ft fence, i know if he wanted to he can clear 8ft.Is the answer going higher?

it may be better to install an overhang so the dog can't climb out. If he can go over 6 feet of fence, 8 feet won't stop him. Making an overhang of solid fence material, to make a physical barrier, would probably be more successful. Also trying to give the dogs more to do in their yard may help, as bored dogs are more likely to try to get out.

Thanks for that we were thinking of a perspex overhang. Apart from chewing rawhide, what can I give them to occupy them in the yard, they have a long walk/run in the mornings but due to work we cant walk them evenings. they turn their noses up at most toys.
