I have a 7 week old malamute/timberwolf/lab mix puppy. I was wondering if they need to be treated for fleas just like other dogs and can we substitute his raw meat he has to have once a week for something else or can we just nt give him any? he only has a quarter of timberwolf in him.

Wolves and wolfdogs can get fleas or any other parasite a regular dog can get. Any and all canines including dogs, wolves and wolfdogs do better on a raw meat, bones and organs diet than commercial dry dog food. You can search the internet for "BARF diet", "species appropriate diet" or "prey model diet" to get more information. BARF stans for bones and raw food. I have fed all my dogs a raw diet for almost 20 years and they do far better than on regular dry or canned dog food of any quality.
