How well a wolfdog gets along with kids will depend hugely on the cross. By that I mean is there much wolf, and what kinds of dogs/temperaments, went into the cross. Most wolfdogs are part husky, malamute or GSD. The first two breeds, as well as wolves, have VERY strong prey drive and as such are likely to view small kids as prey. I speak from nearly 30 years experienced with wolves and wolfdogs, and am an expert on the subject. While some folks will tell you their wolfdog is good with kids, those animals are usually very low wolf content, if they have any wolf at all. The mid to high content animals are not recommended with small kids or small pets. I would NEVER recommend a wolfdog as a family pet, if the family includes children or small pets. Most people have no idea what predatory behavior even looks like and they find out too late.
As always, check out wwww.wolfdogproject.com for more info. Or go to www.wolfpark.org for info on pure wolves.
