I have bought into a small buainess and my partner has 2 female boerboel pups now 4 months...


I have bought into a small buainess and my partner has 2 female boerboel pups now 4 months old(sisters)who are very affectionate. They get excited when they see me me but always want to jump up on me. How do you discourage them from jumpimg up as obviously as they grow they could probably knock me over. I have never had a pet in my life!!! Please help. Thanks.

You might consider telling your boerboel a firm "NO!" with a scowl, not a yell but certainly not a whisper either, while you push it off. That's what I did with my dog and it worked. Don't push so hard that it hurts the dog, but so that it gets the dog's attention.
