Put your Lhasa Apso in a room. If he has an accident it is easy to clean. I would suggest that your visitor before patting him gives the back of the hand for him to smell and then calmly and gently pat. Talk to him let him know that it is Ok.

Your lhasa apso is only 5 months old he will get over it, you just have to be patient and don't demand that he be around strangers, let him go to his hiding place and watch that everything is ok he will be OK and when he is fully potty trained he will stop peeing.

When my lhasapoo, Lucy, was timid around people, I would pick her up and invite people to come say hi. She felt more secure in my arms and soon became the neighborhood meeter and greeter! Best dog in the world

That sounds just like my dog about a year ago. When your lhasa apso goes to the bathroom dont yell just take him outside and show him where he should go to the bathroom. If your dog is scared of people pick it up and try having the dog sniff its hand. It sounds like being timid is just your dogs personality though. Your dog should grow of wetting it-self. When you know someones coming i recomend taking the dog out side before they come. Last thing if your dog is afraid then when you or a strange go to the dog try to crouch down to its size because if i was small and a weird giant was crouching over me i would pee myself too lol!
