Well first 2 start off with all dogs have a potential to bite. But if trained as a puppy to have bite inhibation they will not. But as a whole the cavachon is not a mouthy dog and wants to please the master

Hmm no..dogs never bite their owners :) but they bite in some cases: Like if someone tried to steal their things -strangers- Or someone who tried to attack them or their owners...

Yes, cavachons do bite. A lot.

"All dogs bite" ya that's just totally wrong, and "ya cavachons do bite" NO, it's not the breed it depends on the dog! If when it was young maybe it had bad experiences or you may not be knowing it, but you may be causing the biting by the way you're handling it.

Look, all of these people, except for the one below me, who said it depends on the dog, are wrong. Cavachon play-bite as puppies, of couse, but as they mature, they become very controlled, yet still fun, or at least mine was that way. Plus they still look young as adults. :)

As with anything that has teeth, it has the potential to bite, but being that Cavachon's are small to medium sized family dogs, they usually aren't known for biting, however, they (like any other breed) must be treated with respect and gently because it is a sensitive dog and you don't want it to be fearful or cause fear-biting. Be careful of how you obtain your dog, don't get one from a puppy mill, you can adopt or get one from a breeder where you can check about the parents and see how the puppy's are kept. Make sure you set yourself up with a good trainer too because these dogs need the structure and consistency.

My Cavachon is a rescue and does NOT bite, though he has accidentally bitten my finger when grabbing a ball from me. He is VERY gentle. Having said that, any dog may bite to defend itself if it feels threatened. If your dog is in a safe, happy environment, I would never expect biting problems.

We got an 8 week old Cavachon last week and she bites hard constantly and I have been searching the internet and find that this is considered standard behavior... Particularly in puppies. They will only stop with constant consistent training and age. She also seems to have some aggression issues. I'd be wary if you have young children... Fortunately, we don't have any children and have enrolled in training. We'll see how this goes.
