Your cavachon puppy needs to get used to the different sounds around him. Does he have toys to calm him? Is he in a crate which is a safe place for him? Remember you need to interact and play with him. He needs to be assured everything is ok. I hope this is helpful

To stop both the biting and the "diving" once your Cavachon makes the slightest bark take him back inside, and when he jumps on a visitor again take him to another room

Usually when a dog jumps on people, you tell them a firm "NO!" to have him associate this positively, use a clicker or a treat to let him know he did the right thing when he listens as reinforcement. It would be a good idea to not let him jump on you too because he won't be able to tell the difference regarding why sometimes he can jump and sometimes not. With the barking, check to see if he's barking at appropriate things and do the same thing. Consistency is key. If this doesn't work, definitely find a local trainer to help you.

Our Emma is 10 mo old. We live in the country...and have 2 other dogs...all friendly. When someone "new" drives up ,she yaps and yaps. I have found that by picking her up and carrying her w/ me to greet the person, and letting THEM pet her, satisfies her . She doesn't bark any more. If she does, I pick her up, do the same activity again.
