It depends. Our Beaglier has a cavalier bark. I have read of instances where the dog gets the trait from its beagle parent and has the signature howl.

it depends on if the beaglier is a puppy or not - mine is a puppy and is alert but he just stands up but no barks and some times they cry and when it does it very quiet

My beaglier has the beagle howl, but we have trained her not to bark. She howls when she is excited, but doesn't bark for barking sake. When she needs to go pee she sits at the front door mat and gives a whimper/growl sound.
