Hello, We live in Italy in a rural area and my son recently found a young dog who had either been abandoned or lost. He brought it home and we have cared for it and it gets on well with our other dog who is a cross Alsatian/Hound type dog. We would like to know the breed of our new friend. He is medium in height although still a bit underweight. He is black and white, mainly white and with black spots . He sort of has the face and stance of the photograph you have of a Coonhound but not quite. His eyes are small and slanted. He is very obedient and friendly. I know this is not much to go on but do you have any idea. We intend to keep him especially as the Italian folk are not renown for their kindness to animals.
