If she has more Podengo in her genes then she'll probably be shedding quite a bit. My father used to raise them when I was a kid and I can remember always being covered in hair. Granted, they were used as hunting dogs so bathing was whenever they found a pond or stream to play in or if they were sick, so how many times needed to be kept as a house dog is unknown to me. No one in our family has allergies to animal dander so I'm also unsure if they are hypoallergenic as well. They do require quite a bit of exercise, they are bred for hunting after all. They can be trained very easily and are quite loyal dogs. They also fare better in pairs or groups. If I had more time and was more interestested in hunting like my father was, I would definitely get a few Podengo for myself.
Best of luck with Suzie!
