Just got a 8 yr old female pomchi. She's perfect - well behaved, sweet, and beautiful, but does not bark at all. Could something be wrong? Her breath really smells.

Did you have your pomchi checked for worms? If not, take her in for a check up as that could be the problem

Small dogs usually have problems with their teeth and breath as they get older. Do you brush your pomchi's teeth regularly? They need their teeth brushed daily, and it's helpful to give them chew toys / treats such as Greenies. There are also some all natural sprays that you spray in their mouth before bed (sort of like mouthwash just for dogs and safe to swallow). My Pomchi is 6.5 years old and he started having really awful breath about a year ago. It got so bad that I decided one day to spend 4 hours cleaning each tooth with a small brush, Q-tip, floss, and a hand towel. I now brush his teeth everyday and use all natural mouth spray for him. His breath has improved dramatically, and rarely smells at all. Also, make sure that your dog always has plenty of water. I hope this helps.
