I had a Pekepoo when I was growing up. Back then they were just mutts. He was probably the best dog we ever had; intelligent, protective, and quite hardy. We never pampered our dogs and we never had a problem with him eating anything. They are a GREAT breed!

I have a Pekepoo too, I have found that it had to do with the fiber content. If I stayed at 3% or lower fiber on the package she did well no the vomiting and straining stopped. We use Hills Science Diet Bite Size for Toy Dogs. I am nervous because I will soon switch to for seniors in this brand so hope it will work as well.

I am on my 3rd and 4th pekeapoo right now. Two have had sensitive stomachs and two haven't. The first one found an old bone in the yard and later developed an infection that I believe led to the life-long sensitive stomach. The other one is on the nervous side. They can eat anything, just be sure to keep it consistent. Don't mix brands if you can avoid it and limit or eliminate table feeding.

I have owned 5 pekapoos and have had no trouble with sensitive stomachs. Feed them high quality dog food. Avoid feeding table scraps. The only thing that I have noticed is my older dogs occasionally they vomit after drinking too much water or eating too quickly. I think that this is largely due to competition to get the most food, I have 4 dogs eating at the same time.
