Do Westipoos have to be groomed? If so, how often? Also, when people say they may be hard to housetrain, what exactly are we talking about? If you crate train and take them out regularly, am I still going to have a dog peeing everywhere after a year or two?

We have a 6 month old Westiepoo who practically housebroke himself. We couldn't believe how EASY it was after having had both a Pug and a Min Pin in years past (prior to our Westiepoo). We don't know anyone else with a Westiepoo but ours has an amazing temperament and he's the best dog we've ever had.

Yes Westipoos need to be groomed about every 4 months... You just need to help them when they need to "go". You need to praise them and give them treats when they do something good so they know. YOU WILL LOVE HIM OR HER THEY ARE SO SWEET!!!!

My westiepoo very easily house trained! Would hold his pee in all through the night, just would take him out right before bed and then would have to take him out as soon as we woke up because he wouldn't hold it much longer after getting up and being about. Also, only had accidents if someone played with him and got him super excited and it had been awhile since the last time we took him out. Now that he's not a puppy anymore, he can hold it for ten hours!
