I just bathed my 9 week old Maltipoo, he was not a happy camper. He cried the whole time. When I tried to dry him off with a towel, he was very agitated with me. I tried rocking him and consoling him, but I think he is mad at me. Is that normal? What should I do about bathing him the next time??

Bath time can be traumatic. I give my baby a bath in a 13 X 9 plastic tub placed in the kitchen sink. I work from her tail to her head. One trick I found helpful is wrapping her up in warm towels I have placed in the dryer to heat them up first.

VIEW MY PUPPIES

That happened to me the first time too. She started wailing and crying but by the second time she calmed down a lot but was still moving a lot. The third time I bathed her she was sitting still. So it should get better once you wash him couple of times~

I found my maltipoo if calm in the sink with a big towel in the bottom so she doesn't slip. I also use warm water, she cries even if the water is a little cool. Warm and gentle! The tub is also scary to her. But now she lets me bath her and I keep the water pressure low so as not to scare her. She gets a big warm towel and a little warm blow dry to the keep her ears dry. And a good girl treat. Works Great!
