Hello, I am getting a mini golden doodle in June. The litter is being born in mid march and we have to select which puppy we want without getting to go in person. We want a doodle with the straighter flatter coat. How can we tell if this is how their coat will look when they are puppies? Any help would be appreciated Best, Laura

For the first week, curls will just look like ripples. You will be able to see a difference between the curliest pups, but many pups will curl as they age. By 3 weeks old, it will be very easy to tell the difference. Doodles often get curlier as they age and I've found that their ears can be a great clue. Look for the ears that have the least curl.
