Miniature Australian Shepherd Question

We have two 4 year old mini aussies who are litter mates. Our female absolutely loves our cat, they are best friends. Our male aussie is very indifferent with the cat.

I have a 1 1/2 yr old mini aussie female and we have 4 cats. She Loves Them! The cats were here before her and she was a puppy when I got her. We have one other dog a King Charles Cavalier and although she gets along with him she is indifferent to him. When she plays it is Always with the cats. She chases throughout the house and has occassionally tried to herd them. We have one Big orange Tabby that is almost as big as the aussie and they rough house and play in the same why that littermate puppies play. So cats she loves. Dogs that we meet on walks she does not. She does not like strange dogs or strange people and will bark a lot. However, if she sees a cat walk past the window she whines cause she wants to play with it.

My mimi, Macy heards my cat into the shower stall and won't let him out! But, when Joey (the cat) gets tired he jumps over and the chase starts all over. Never any biting or scratching just playing.
