how do you know if its a mini aussie or a regular. i'm asking cause i have a five month old...


how do you know if its a mini aussie or a regular. i'm asking cause i have a five month old aussie dont know if hes a mini or not but. he is as tall as my knee and im 5'6"

Miniatures measure below 18 inches at the shoulder. Standards are above 18 inches at the shoulder.

They are two different breeds. A mini aussie is not recognized currently. A miniature american shepherd is the recognized breed for AKC. An aussie has no size variety. Check your registration. If the animal is under 19" for an aussie female, it is not within the standards for showing as it will be slight of bone. A mini that is 19" will be too big and be well overdone. 5 mos old is not really a good time to tell how big it will get. It will grow until about 12 mos.
