My Yorkie is 5 years old, and we have fed him IMS ever since a puppy! We never have had a problem, and the Vet said that it was good for him. We also give him treats, that always matches his age. Do not give a lot of treats, because it can make them too fat so limit two times a day. Whatever you do, please do not feed table food, because we made that mistake and had to take him to the vet for stomach problems. Yorkies have sensitive stomachs! Hope that this has helped you!

I feed my yorkies "Fromm" puppy food. My female is 5 lbs and my male is 4 lbs. so they need the extra calories. Dogs eat many types of fruits and veggies as well. I feed mine only organic: apples, bananas, carrots, broccoli, etc. I do not feed them avocados, or grapes. If you have any concerns, ask your vet. It is also, ok to feed your dogs cooked meats, organic or grass fed is best. Do not feed pork products, hot dogs, bologna, etc. Only chicken, turkey and beef. Dogs also love hard boiled eggs. Of course, feed these items in moderation, pets need the nutrients in the dog food.
