My wife and I currently own our 4th and 5th Yorkie over the last 35 years. Each one suffered from separation anxiety to some extent. One would bark constantly when we were gone another would look out the window for hours until we returned. The two we have now lay on the stairs and stare at the door even if only one of us goes out. They each survived but they do prefer if we stay with them.
