It says to "professionally strip your westie atleast twice a year" I was wondering if this cost any money? Like do you just go to the vet and they'll strip it for you for free? I'm afraid it'll cost like $100 each time. x.x

Westies do not have to be stripped, it would cost money to have it done and costs more then just clipping. They can be clipped instead of stripped if you dont show conformation. You can also learn to do the grooming yourself or some people even like the natural shaggy look. Even left long and natural westies are very easy to brush and comb out and rarely tangle.

VIEW MY PUPPIES

Our westies have never had to be stripped. Both of our westies lived full and happy lives. From the time they were pups to adults we took them to petsmart every month for a clip sometimes every other month. If you keep them maintained they do not shed and have a beautiful coat. I would reccoment keeping there coat as a "puppy cut" and in the winter months buying a sweater for them. Mine loved his sweater and would take it off at night when we slept and would pick it up and bring it to me in the morning. I loved that dog. But If you keep there coat clean and beautiful you will have no problems.
