I have a westie and lab and they get a long okay but my westie is the only inside dog. I'm wondering if I got a yorkie if they would get along well. My westie is "protective" of his area. My friend brought her small dog and they got along well. Would a permanent dog be okay?

it should be okay but be careful because westies were bred to hunt rodents underground and to them a yorkie or whatever could be a rodent to them

I have a female Westie that is 14 months old. My mom passed away the end of May 2012 and I inherited her 6 year old Yorkie. I was concerned about the age differences. Two months later I am so proud of my Westie. She has graciously shared me with my mom's Yorkie. The Yorkie was pad trained since she lived alone with my elderly mother. My Westie is teaching her to go outside. We are getting there. Both dogs are females. Good Luck
