No Welsh Terriers are a hypoallergenic breed.

Saying Welsh Terriers "don't shed" is misleading. They have curly, wiry hair. When they shed, it gets caught up and twisted in their curls. That's why they require brushing and grooming. I prefer grooming because brushing curly-haired tangles is not a pleasant experience for the Welshie or the owner!

Hardly any dog hair to be seen. Have one welsh and had an Airdale combined over 20 yrs the best dogs , little barking , had to teach our Welsh to bark, training was so easy.
