My Wife and I have a very loyal and loving male Silky age 9 months. He will not leave either one of our sides until the last one goes to bed no matter which one is still up or whatever time it is. Amy one know why he does this ?

Yes, I do know why. That's the personality of the breed. Our silky was like that until the day we lost him. For nine short years. where ever I was he was. If my husband was here, it was him. Enjoy it. They live for attention, affection, play and treats. Enjoy :~))

I have a 17 year old female Silky Terrier. She will be 18 at the end of October. She too, is at my side and has been since the day I brought this wonderful dog into our family. For the last two years, she has slowed down but up until then, she was a very active/social dog. Fortunately I work out of my home. She would be up all night with me if I stayed up all night. Now she tends to tell me it is time to go to bed. And we do. HA
