My Silky Terrier is pulling her hair out so much that she now has a "shaved look" throughout her rump and her back legs. Is this common for this breed? She seems to do it more when left alone during the day. Help!

Sounds like separation anxiety. She wont stop until she understands that you are coming back. And maybe sometimes if you can take her with you. Yorkies are very social people. They love being with you no matter what or where. You could also try to see if there is like a family or frind house that she could go to during the day. So that way she will not have to be alone. Hopefully she will grow out of it. You could also try to get her hair cut really short so there is no hair to pull on. Talk to your vet and see what solutions they can come up with. Plus yorkies love toys that move and makes noise. Good luck. I love Yorkies.
