No schnauzer's don't . I have lived with schnauzers for 40 years and never have had one shed and they have hair instead of fur so they are allergy free. and not stinky.

Schnauzers shed very little, almost nothing..but they don't have a sweet smell like hounds. My parents have owned them for 30 years.

My schnauzer's shed a little, but a good brushing, once or twice a week (note: weekly not daily!) reduces the shedding. My female shed more than the male, so I think it depends on the dog.

"shed" by defination means the twice yearly dropping of coat. Schnauzers will drop their hair just like you and I do. They do not die with the same hair they were born with. A good brushing and occasional grooming is all that is needed to keep your dogs coat healthy and your floors free of hair. If your dog has an odor, change his food. Standard Schnauzers do not have an odor.
