Schnauzer, Miniature Question

I would suggest either Lamb and rice food, or duck. This was suggested by my vet for two of our schnauzers. One had an allergy to beef products in several of the dog foods. I keep mine on Lamb/Rice and he does fine. Our vet recommended a brand that the main ingrediant was duck and this worked well for a few months. By the way some schnauzers have digestive issues, so try just a handful of food because if you leave the bowl full, most of them will eat the entire bowl and then get sick from eating too fast. My boy tends to eat too fast then gets sick, so I limit him to 2 ounces at a time.

I'd recommend a visit to a good Vet. It's a good idea to develop a good, strong relationahip with a vet early, anyway. If your child kept getting sick you'd take him to a doctor. Getting sick could be a minor problem that is easy to control - or it could be an indicator of a more serious condition... just like with a child.

DO NOT FEED schnauzers table food as they can develop pancriatits very quickly. Nothing fatty or rich, just plain old dog food on a regular basis. check for worms or kennel cough. Pounds dogs always have kennel cough.
