I have a female schnauzer, she is 4 1/2 yrs old and has been great, aside from the aggressive behavior with certain people. She recently developed what seems to be a bladder infection. She began to have accidents in the house and pee blood. I took her to the vet and she had 2weeks of medication. it seemed to clear up two weeks after medication was complete. Now it seems to have started up again, not as consistant though. Vet said Schnauzer's are prone to bladder stones. My problem is I'm looking for any possible home remedy to try as I cannot afford to go back to the vet, by more medication or spend the hundreds of $$ they request for exrays. HELP! She eats very healthy dog food and has a great routine... until now.

My 7 yr old schnauzer, minature just died from a respiratory problem which generated not enough white cells and too many red cells. The vet worked on her for 2 weeks. The point I think you are going to find some schnauzers start having medical problems at 4 yrs and beyond and they are no home fixes. Yes this is very costly and frustrating.
