I have a 12 week mini schnauzer, I noticed when I got her she had a small bump right about where her ribs end, with time it has gotten a little wider. Is this normal? Please help!

I've had 2 mini schnauzers, and both had a history of "fatty cysts" throughout their life. Vet said it was common to the breed. One of the dogs developed cancer, but only after her 11th birthday. No evidence of cancer in the one I have now, who is 11.

We have a 12 year old mini who has had a pretty good size lump under his arm for years. It hasnt bothered him yet. Someone told me they were schaunzer bumps. If it stays, just have it checked out, but dont worry. Good luck with your pup, i love the breed. mine wears sunglasses.

could be a umbilical hernia..take her to the vet, it may need to be corrected..it's a simple surgery and usually not expensive..can be done when you spay her.
