Schnauzer, Giant Question

It depends on the dog and you. If you get a submissive Schnauzer dog, it shouldn't be a problem. If you get a dominant Schnauzer dog, you will need to teach him from an early age that YOU are alpha and not him, and that dominance or agression will NOT be tolerated. Socialize him well, espesially with smaller dogs like the westie.I recommend you watch Cesar Millan and read his books. He's a dog behavioralist, the best one in my opinion. Forgot to mention that if most sites say they will be alright (after training and socialization) with other dogs and only a few say no, then I would go with what the majority says. But like I said before, it mostly depends on how you train and socialize them. I've seen " dog agressive" breeds like the Akita get along just fine, and even sleep with small breed dogs, all because they were trained, socialized, and knew their submissive position in the pack

That person is right, you have to get them young and socialize them right a way and train them. Then you sould be fine. How is the dog that you have now with other dog that come into your home? If your dog gets along fine with other dogs in your home than you sould be fine with both dogs.
