Yes, a lot! When we got our Samoyed, we were told they only shed twice a year, when they blow their coats in the beginning of summer and winter. But she sheds all year round, and in the summer months it is constant and in large clumps. We need to vacuum daily. I read that if you let them have a litter before they are fixed, that should help though.

My whippet sheds more than my samoyed. A quick daily brush and I rarely see his hair....except when he molts in the spring. I send him to the vet for grooming then. It's great to she the groomer covered head to toe in white fluff. But at least it's not me!
