Is it okay to cut a samoyeds hair durning the warmer seasons?

It is not a good idea to cut a samoyeds coat. The best thing you can do for them is make sure they are clean and groomed. If they shed their undercoat you can brush it out. Their hair helps to keep them cooler in the warmer months.

Yes, its is perfectly normal to trim, i repeat trim a coat during warmer seasons, but never shave a samoyed. My family shaved our samoyed's fur all off a few summers ago and he got a HORRIBLE skin disease because their skin isnt meant for direct sun exposure. Hope this helps :)

luckily, if shaving is necessary because of matting, they do have doggy sunscreen, so your dog getting a skin disease if you take proper precautions is highly unlikely.
