Samoyed Question

all dogs are pack animals and need company. you are out of the house far too long for any dog at all. they would suffer from loneliness and extreme stress. no dog should be left alone more than 4 hrs a day.

further to my blog. Samoyed's also need about 2 hrs run a day, a lot of grooming and also a puppy of any breed needs 4 to 7 meals a day and when you need to be around also to house train. A young samoyed left alone too long could cause damage. I have had 3 sams and I am a member of the samoyed assn in the UK

My Samoyed does, just give him a good walk in the morning (20 minutes at least) and let him out to relieve himself right before you leave the house. Also, provide good chew toys for him to chew on while you're gone and the dog should be fine.

Yes, my samoyed stays home for many hrs a day and he is perfectly fine because he knows when we come home that he can jump all over us and we are there to play with him. The first couple of times we left him alone he got into the markers and colored his face orange, it was something else, and he would cry as we left. That didnt last long and he began finding things to entertain his time with. Doggy doors are a must!! If you know that you will leave your dog alone for many hrs a day then place that doggy door right away! Hope this helps :)
