Saints take alot of care. To me it's not hard work because I love caring for him. But they do need to be brushed every day (especially if they are long haired)You have to check daily for fur matting. Other than that they are no more work than any other dog except they are much much bigger so it's important to establish good training so when they out way you...they will still listen to your commands.

Long haired (rough coat) take daily brushing and shed a ton, but a short haired not even close to the same amount of work. Now I have had one of each so experience is there, but not a lot of it.
