My husband and I adopted a 5 year saint (Whiskey) for some reason he will not come into the main house. He will go into the garage and into the room off of the garage which we have now deemed his room (laundry room) There is a door in his room leading to the kitchen which we leave open all day and night. He will only put his front paws in the kitchen and if someone sees him he turns around and runs. I've tried putting his food in the kitchen but he still won't come in. Any sugestions would be much appreciated!

Your Saint Bernards past experience migt be bitter or might be trained in such a order. First make him comfortable with your home give him loads of love if possible spend time and play around with him for some time. He will adjust.

From where he was rescued, maybe he had some bad experiences in rooms that remind him of your living room. Try to love on him as much as you can and try to just offer him to go in the room but leave the decision up to him. Cilantro
