Rottweiler Question

What's wrong with my Rottweiler's eye?

My Rottweiler has this huge glare in his right eye and its where his pupil would be. It's most noticeable at night time (I think because of the reflection of light) but I'm also convinced that it is most noticeable when he is having one of his "wild" moods- with a sudden burst of energy and an overly playful, yet stubborn attitude. Now, it gets a little more peculiar. I am the only one who notices it! My girlfriend can't see it and one day I brought him to the vet for his last round of puppy shots, ask the Dr to take a look; and he can't see it either. He held a bright light to my dog's eye along with a magnifying glass and claimed he couldn't see anything. So when I got home I shined a flashlight up to the eye and i couldn't see anything either. I think it's when he's in a room with low light or light that isn't pointing directly at him. What could this be??? Cataracts?? Also, it's only in the right eye, not his left.

It's the reflective lens that is on a dog's eye. It's called "Eye Glare".
