Most australian cattle dogs when pregnant and right before they give birth start to dig a lot. They tend to try and dig a den like a dingo would. Usually start to dig between 4 and 6 weeks before labor. Most heelers like to dig anyway, but that is sort of a way to tell, especially if they don not seem to dig before hand. Also if she is pregnant her teets will sag more before birth.
