Really considering getting a Puli. I wear my hair locked also lol How do these dogs do in the hot weather? Going to be traveling a lot living out of an RV. Should you keep it's hair shaved during the hot weather? this site says they do good in all climates http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/puli.htm

My Puli loves to be outside no matter what the tempature is. I have read the the hair works as a natural heating and cooling system. The coat takes 5 years to fully grow so if you want the Rasta look shaving him down seasonally is not an option.

DON"T SHAVE YOUR PULI. You willjust throw her hairs growth curve back. My Puli lived in Milwaukee Wisconsin for part of her life and is now in South Florida. No worries. Just use common sense. Water when you take them out. Shade after a while. Their coat is amazing. I can feel under her coat fifteen minutes after leaving the house and can still feel the cold a/c from the house.
