My partner has just bought a Presa Canario and I worry about my 3 year old. We have never owned...


My partner has just bought a Presa Canario and I worry about my 3 year old. We have never owned a dog but my partner will be very strict with it, I have looked at sites and see conflicting info about how safe these are with kids . . . Help?

In the right family, if properly introduced, and with proper leadership, kids within the family will be just fine with a Presa Canario. this is not a dog for first time dog owners and can even be dangerous with the wrong kind of owner. The kids MUST be in higher authority than the dog to be safe.

well our first dog was a pressa and to be honest we thought the same as we have 2 children and they were perfect with them a bit playful but never threatening and now i breed them hope that answers your question.

I bought ny presa at about a year old she's now around two .. I have four children from 9 months to 5 years old. She's there bestfriend!! presas are very calm loving dogs unless put into the wrong persons hands.. at times my Fiona can get hyper n shel knock my kids around but its normally my kids doing as they want to play .... just watch its temperament with it child as u didn't raise it it may have a few temperament flaws but I doubt it
