Presa Canario Question

Yes presa canario's make excellent guard dogs !!! They can decide if a person is a threat or not and treat them accordingly. Unlike breeds like the german shepherd and doberman whom are typically aggressive towards all strangers. They are generally great with everyone once they get to know them and establish if they are a threat or not. My presa is a big ham and loves most people, but I have a sister in law who is kind of a shady person and he hates her. Wont let her anywhere near the house.

My presa girl is just under two years.. not only does her size and stance keep most awake she's a natural guardian!! I also have four child a nine month old 3year old twins and a 5 year old & she's there best friend .. there actually very calm and loving unless someone's trying to play "they love to play" with visitors I normally separate my dog from them as she's never bit but she keeps them away from my kids by pushing them back with the side of her body n blocking them off!.. I don't have much family where I live so its mostly my fault as I didn't socialize her as a pup as much as I should.
