My female poodle is 8 mos old and since she has been 20 weeks old she's had Giardia, and I walk her and pick up her poop, do not allow her to go to dog parks etc. Yet, she will still eat her own poop when I atleast expect it. Therefore, it appears she's keeping Giardia. I'm so troubled and Ive tried pineapples, powders from the vets etc, but she keeps eating her poop when I atleast expect it, and the Giardia remains. HELP!

She is only small so it will slowly go away as she gets older.

Girardia is found in water that is stale, like rain water in puddles, or a bowl that has old water in it. You need to get Bactrim Plus to treat her. I use a mixture of Bactrim and Sulfamexathone (may not be the correct spelling), pills that the vet crushes and puts in the liquid Bactrim. I would also use Albon to ward off any bacteria. Good luck!
