Do Pekingese shed?

Yes, Pekes shed. The simplest way to deal with this (and keep loose hair from taking over your furniture) is to make it a ritual to spend about 1 hour each week (minimum...if you can do it 2-3 times a week, even better) using a fine-toothed brush (like a pin brush) and thoroughly brushing the dog out, making sure you get under the armpits, around the tail area, and in the groin area. Alternatively, you can keep the dog in a modified short cut, which means a brush out every couple of weeks...but most of us with pekes LOVE the long hair (it's just part of being owned by pekes), so we do the other.

I have six Pekingese and yes mine do, but if you use baby shampoo and brush them about once a week they do not shed bad.

Yes, but if you brush your Pekingese a lot it will rarely shed.
