Maybe food allergies? Take your Pekingese off all grains, try beef, fish, greens, potatoes, carrots. rather like a stew. worked for mine!

Usually small dogs are allergic to poultry. Do not give them cooked poultry that you have made but if it is in a food brand it might be okay.I give my Dachshund and peke Cesar dog food and they seem to like it alot. If you happen to use it chop it up into little pieces so they can actually eat it!! you should take my advice advice about poultry.

Mine had the same problem. Petsmart recommended taking him off all treats & food with wheat, corn and artifical colors. It worked. He stopped scratching in about 2 weeks.
