I have a 7 month old Old English Bulldogge named Dexter. At 8-12 weeks I noticed him limping and biting at his back legs, also there would be times he would give a random yelp. I brought him to the vet and they ruled it as growing pains. 2 months later after taking him out of his crate we noticed major limping which lead to extreme crying, whining and yelping. This brought me to tears. We called the vet and brought him in at 3 AM and $400 later it was still growing pains. They did X-rays and gave him a shot of morphine. Sent us home with Metacam which is Advil for dogs and said to take him off of puppy good due to high levels of protein. My advice is to find a food with lower protein to avoid the pricey vet bill. Now, 3 months later he's absolutely fine, hyper as can be!
