Hi there, I hope you can help. My boyfriend and I are thinking of getting 2 Newfie pups. We live on a big 5 game reserve in South Africa... My first question is - would this climate be too hot for them with their double coat?? They would have a medium sized fenced garden to spend their days (indoors at nights due to other wild animals), would this be enough space for them to excercise & swim? Lastly, are they dogs that like to bark a lot? there will obviously be a lot of other animals roaming around, and we cater for guests, so the barking would be a problem... We both fell in love with the Newfoundland breed, and would appreciate any help you could give us. Thanking you in advance.
