Singers have medium sized litters for the most part. New Guinea Singing Dogs actually don't make very good pets, since they are a very primitive type dog. They are extremely intelligent and are hard to contain (meaning they are excellent escape artists.) Anyone considering keeping one as a pet really needs to know what they are getting into, have adequate fencing (usually a tall fence with a top as they can climb out of almost anything), and want a dog that is not usually very biddable. By that I mean they have a mind of their own and don't really care if they obey commands. They are interesting dogs for those who appreciate a challenge and have the experience to raise them well.
