My english mastiff will be 2 years old in one month. He only weighs 120lbs. He eats at least 3 huge bowls of adult large breed puppy food a day, goes to the vet regulary for shots and meds as needed. The vet keeps saying he is very healthy but I feel he should be weighing alot more than that? We were told by the breeder that he was smaller than the his brothers and sisters b/c he didn't take to bottle very after his mother. Thoughts???

Breeders are buying 500 to 600 dollars just to breed. They may be AKC but that does not mean they are full blooded. People are cons.

We have the original papers and family blood line. The breeder we purchased from has been in business for over 10 years and we were also provided references.

your english mastiff is genetically small and may not be a purebred

A Mastiff should have his full height and length on him by about 2 years of age. After that, they will begin filling in and getting thicker and heavier. It is best to not push a dog too quickly to gain which could cause stress and strain on bones and joints. He will begin getting heavier now at this age.
