I have the same problem with our Havanese, Desi. He is 4 years old and we have tried every shampoo available. The vet has given him cortisone shots, but that it not healthy. I have researched everything I can on the Internet, but have not found an answer to this. I wish someone would respond to your question and the many questions I have asked on other forums. Desi is just miserable!

I have 2 havanese and 1 has a hair lose and nothing will fix his hair to grow back so he doesnt scratch. my other havanese she is a puppy just started scratching and i just tell her to stop because she has already scratched a raw spot but what keeps he busy is like a foot long bone that she just spends all her time chewing on

Omega-3 in the food. A capsule just like you would take for yourself, except just one very other day. SHINY coat. Brushing helps even the shine out to a beautiful luster : )
