Check the bowl after s/he eats. If there is a "slime" it means that you have a dog with more bacteria that leads to tooth decay/tartar buildup faster than dogs with a clean bowl after eating.... There is nothing you can do about this but you can schedule reg teeth cleanings to avoid having your pet loose teeth more quickly than expected. Get pet insurance?!
